My primary goal is to teach my students, but also to make sure they have fun in a pressure-free environment.

Time for a Lesson!

What occurs during a lesson?

*** I COME TO YOU! ***

To make it easy for parents, lessons can be arranged to occur at your home.

If you would prefer to come to my home, that can be arranged, but those lesson times are very limited.

-Lessons are 30 minutes long beginning in Level 1 through Level 3.

-Lessons are 45 minutes long beginning in Level 4 through Level 6 and on.

During the actual lesson we:

*Review previous material

*Review any Theory Homework

*Play/Learn any Finger Exercises

*Play through assigned song(s)

*Learn new material

*Participate in various activities to encourage tempo consistency and rhythm

*I also make use of various apps to assist children in learning music notation and theory.

What books do I need?

Generally, I design each lesson to the student's abilities and growth.

I utilize the Alfred Basic Piano Library Series Level 1-6:

-Alfred Basic Piano Library Lesson Book

-Alfred Basic Piano Library Theory Book

-Alfred Basic Piano Library Ear Training Book

Beginning in Level 3, my students also work through the Hanon Finger Exercise Book.

After graduating from the Alfred Piano Library, my students begin a study of the classics.

Prices

How much do lessons cost?

I pride myself in keeping the cost of my lessons low.

Everyone should have access to affordable music lessons.

-$30 per half-hour lesson

-$45 per 45 minute lesson

-Payment of a month’s worth of lessons is due at the first lesson of each month.

-In the event that you have a credit (due to a cancellation or overpayment), I will let you know the week before payment is due.

-A Late Fee of $10 will be added to the monthly charge for overdue payments.

-I accept cash or personal check.
